The Memory of Trees at Brighton Photo Fringe

01st October 2010

One of my long term projects, The Memory of Trees, is being shown as part of the Brighton Photo Fringe - Hastings festival in October and November at:

One Cafe, 1 London Road, St Leonard's on Sea, East Sussex
1st October - 14th November, 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday.

The project explore the sacredness of trees, long recognized as a symbol of life and regeneration and, to some, of mystical knowledge and space. The images shown look at the form, function, texture, spirit and environment of trees as well as the memorials and prayers that are created around them, evidence of the affinity many people have with them as sacred spaces.

My exhibition forms part of the On The Map group show, an exciting mix of exhibitions and photographic installations that create a photo trail around St Leonard’s on Sea.
